LWV HP/HWD FIRST MEETING - ENVIRONMENT
TOWARD RENEWABLE ENERGY IN OUR HOMES & COMMUNITIES.


A panel will include coordinators of the Chicago Climate Group in collaboration with the 350.org Fossil Free Fast Campaign and a representative of our city government.

A video clip will show the importance of a rapid transmission from fossil fuels to renewable energy sources in every community across the states. The panel will conclude with a presentation of what is happening here in Highland Park and the surrounding municipalities to reduce reliance on fossil fuels.

Since 2012 National Voter Registration Day is a national holiday celebrating our democracy. Volunteers and organizations from all over the country will "hit the streets" in a single day of coordinated field, technology and media efforts.
